Job summary

ABB is seeking a Service Operations Manager to oversee Field Service Management for the Automation Energy Industries Central region of the United States. The role leads a team of Field Service Engineers, ensuring safe, efficient delivery of services and projects with strong customer focus.

The position requires an engineering or related degree with extensive relevant experience, and it operates in a hybrid work model within the US. Visa or work authorization in the US is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business or related field with 10+ years of experience; or two-year degree plus proven experience.
• Experience with 800xA, Harmony/Symphony Plus or ABB control systems.
• Knowledge of ABB Field Service tools and methodologies; broad product knowledge in PLCs, DCS, SCADA and related tech.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a regional team of field service engineers with strong resource planning and performance management.
• Drive financial and contract execution, ensuring adherence to budgets and productivity targets.
• Ensure safe, compliant field service activities and timely delivery of projects and upgrades.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to improve customer satisfaction and regional business performance.
• Promote health, safety, and regulatory compliance across field service operations.
