Job summary

Americans for Prosperity (AFP) is seeking a Regional Field Manager for the Michigan team. You will identify, recruit, and engage grassroots leaders across Kalamazoo, Allegan, and Van Buren areas and communities throughout Michigan, mobilizing them to take action and drive policy reform.

You will coordinate events, train volunteers, and ensure ongoing communication to keep activists motivated and active, while overseeing part-time canvassing contractors and compliance with laws and regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience in grassroots advocacy, community organizing, and/or political campaigns.
• Volunteer or staff supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of state and federal public policy landscapes.
• Willingness to travel within Michigan to meet with activists.
• Strong relationship-building and motivational skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify activists in Michigan regions (Kalamazoo, Allegan, Van Buren) and mobilize them to advocate for change.
• Equip local leaders with AFP training and resources.
• Organize events and engage the public through phone calls, social media, and in-person outreach.
• Maintain regular contact with activists to keep them motivated and informed.
• Manage part-time canvassing contractors, ensuring compliance and best practices.
