Job summary

Baudouin America seeks an experienced Field Service Engineer to support industrial diesel engines across the U.S. Midwest. Duties include commissioning, maintenance, and on-site troubleshooting to guarantee reliable power for standby, prime, and continuous systems.

The ideal candidate has hands-on engine experience, strong analytical skills, and customer-focused service in dynamic field environments. Travel 30–40% is required.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of field service experience with large industrial diesel engines.
• Experience with CAT, Wärtsilä, Cummins, MTU, or MAN engines is preferred.
• Knowledge of electronic control systems, fuel systems, turbochargers, and cooling systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform commissioning, maintenance, and repair services for Baudouin industrial diesel engines and related systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues using diagnostic tools and software.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
• Provide on-site technical solutions and recommendations to partners and end users.
• Prepare service documentation including reports, parts lists, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate warranty inspections and root-cause analyses with technical teams.
• Train customers and partners on engine operation and maintenance best practices.
• Ensure compliance with Baudouin safety, environmental, and quality standards during field work.
