Job summary

Volvo Penta North America is seeking an experienced field service specialist to support our industrial and marine engines. You will troubleshoot complex systems, mentor technicians, and drive service improvements across the dealer network.

The role requires extensive travel within the defined US territory and close collaboration with technical support, quality teams, and customers to ensure high reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in engine OEM, distributor, or dealer service environments.
• Expert-level knowledge of industrial and marine engine systems and diagnostics.
• Experience with electrification, alternative fuels, and remote diagnostics preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English; bilingual ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical resource and escalation point for complex applications and repairs.
• Lead investigations into product issues and drive resolution via case management.
• Support dealer network with new technologies including electrification and connectivity.
• Promote use of Volvo Penta digital tools and develop service capabilities.
• Mentor junior staff and implement new service processes for emerging tech.
