Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Diesel Technology, or equivalent.
• 3–5 years field service experience with large industrial or power generation diesel engines.
• Experience with electronic control systems, fuels systems, turbochargers, and cooling systems.
• Proficient with electronic diagnostic tools and engine control interfaces.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and service manuals.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform commissioning, maintenance, and repair services for Baudouin industrial diesel engines and related systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control-related engine issues.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to optimize performance and uptime.
• Support OEM partners, distributors, and end-users with on-site solutions.
• Prepare service documentation including reports and parts requests.
• Coordinate warranty inspections and root cause analyses.
• Provide training to customers and partners on engine operation.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Travel regionally 30–40%, with occasional national assignments.

PositionSummary

Baudouin America is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineerto support our industrial power generation customers across the U.S. Midwest. This role focuses on the commissioning, maintenance, and technical support of Baudouinindustrialdieselengines,ensuringreliableperformancein demandingapplicationssuchasstandby,prime,andcontinuouspowersystems.

Theidealcandidatewillbringstronghands-ontechnicalexpertisewithlarge-boredieselengines,an analytical approach to troubleshooting, and a passion for customer support in dynamic field environments.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer sponsorship. This role requires 30–40% regional travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform commissioning, maintenance, and repair services for Baudouin industrial diesel enginesand associated systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and control-related engine issues using diagnostic tools and software.
• Conduct periodic inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal engine performance anduptime.
• Support OEM partners, distributors, and end-users with on-site technical solutions and recommendations.
• Prepare accurate service documentationincludingreports, parts requirements, andcorrective actions.
• Coordinate warranty inspections, root cause analyses, and feedback with technical and factory teams.
• Provide training and guidance to customers and service partners on engine operation and maintenance best practices.
• Ensure compliance with all Baudouin safety, environmental, and quality standards during field operations.
• Travel regionally (30–40%), with occasional national assignments as required.

Qualifications

Education Experience

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Diesel Technology, or equivalent technical field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of field service experiencewithlargeindustrial orpower generation diesel engines.
• Working knowledge of electroniccontrolsystems,fuelsystems,turbochargers,andcooling systems.
• Proficientwithelectronicdiagnostictoolsandenginecontrolinterfaces.
• Strongmechanicalandelectricaltroubleshootingability.
• Abilitytoreadandinterprettechnicaldrawings,wiringdiagrams,andservicemanuals.
