Job summary

Black Duck Software, Inc. is seeking a Regional Field Chief Technology Officer to serve as a senior technical executive, trusted advisor, and public voice of our technology strategy across the EMEA region.

This customer-facing, pre-sales leadership role reports to the VP of Sales Engineering with a dotted line to Product & Technology. You will translate AI-driven platform capabilities into credible technical narratives, engage with C-level and technical leaders, lead strategic region

Qualifications

• 15+ years in a senior technical leadership role (CTO, Sales Engineering leader, Principal Architect, or equivalent).
• Proven track record engaging C-level and senior technical audiences in enterprise sales cycles.
• Domain expertise in application security (SAST, SCA, DAST), enterprise architecture, cloud/SaaS, APIs and security best practices.
• Deep, practical understanding of AI/ML concepts as applied to security and responsible adoption.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted technical advisor for C-level and senior technical stakeholders across strategic accounts.
• Lead high-visibility, multi-disciplinary engagements including architecture reviews and executive briefings.
• Represent Black Duck as a technical evangelist through keynotes, webinars, whitepapers, and thought leadership content.
• Translate AI/ML platform capabilities into credible narratives for technical and executive audiences, including responsible AI practices.
• Collaborate with Sales and Presales leadership on regional opportunities and technical due diligences, advising on product roadmaps and competitive positioning.
• Support RFPs and security questionnaires with authoritative technical input and differentiation.
