Job summary

Phoenix Contact is seeking a Field Application Engineer to provide hands-on technical support for automation, control, and networking applications across the Mid-Atlantic region. The role partners with regional sales teams to expand market penetration and deliver engineered solutions.

Travel up to 40%+ is expected; the position requires strong communication, presentation skills, and the ability to work effectively from a home office while supporting customers and driving sales growth.

Qualifications

• Requires a four-year technical degree or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum 3 years in sales/marketing for automation and industrial control products.
• Ability to work independently from a home office with limited supervision.
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Increase regional sales for Phoenix Contact automation, control, and networking products.
• Collaborate with local sales teams using joint activities and action plans.
• Serve as the local technical representative on product matters.
• Develop sales tools, collateral, and campaigns; act as voice of the customer.
• Drive value-added applications and engineered solutions; meet territory quotas.
