Job summary

Walmart is seeking an experienced Licensed Facilities Maintenance Operations Manager to lead HVAC/R and building maintenance across a local region. You will manage a team of technicians, partner with store managers and Facilities Services, and shape maintenance strategies to improve reliability and safety.

The role requires an active HVAC/R Mechanical Contractor license, EPA Universal Certification, 3–5 years in facilities or related fields, and a proven ability to analyze failures and drive

Qualifications

• Current HVAC/R Mechanical Contractor license in good standing in your state of residence.
• EPA Universal Certification is required.
• 3–5 years of experience in facilities management, construction management, mechanical maintenance, engineering or a related field.
• Strong HVAC/mechanical knowledge is required.
• Leadership skills with ability to coach, motivate and develop others.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and customer-service skills.
• Experience with root-cause and equipment breakdown analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of facilities maintenance technicians.
• Oversee HVAC/R and general building maintenance across your assigned locations.
• Partner with Store Managers and Facilities Services leaders to identify and resolve facility needs.
• Use reporting, analytics and root-cause analysis to improve equipment reliability and maintenance performance.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors when needed.
• Maintain required contractor licensing and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Secure required permits and coordinate inspections in accordance with mechanical and building codes.
• Conduct site inspections to support safety, quality and compliance standards.
