Job summary

Walmart is seeking an experienced Licensed Facilities Maintenance Operations Manager to lead HVAC/R across a local region, overseeing multiple sites and guiding a team of technicians. You will drive preventative maintenance programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with store leadership to optimize facility performance.

Required is an active HVAC/R Mechanical Contractor license, EPA certification, 3–5 years in facilities or related fields, and strong leadership and communication skills

Qualifications

• Current HVAC/R Mechanical Contractor license in good standing in your state of residence
• EPA Universal Certification
• 3–5 years of experience in facilities management, construction management, mechanical maintenance, engineering or a related field
• Strong HVAC/mechanical knowledge
• Leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate and develop others
• Strong communication, problem-solving and customer-service skills
• Experience with root-cause and equipment breakdown analysis

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of facilities maintenance technicians.
• Oversee HVAC/R and general building maintenance across your assigned locations.
• Partner with Store Managers and Facilities Services leaders to identify and resolve facility needs.
• Use reporting, analytics and root-cause analysis to improve equipment reliability and maintenance performance.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors when needed.
• Maintain required contractor licensing and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Secure required permits and coordinate inspections in accordance with mechanical and building codes.
• Conduct site inspections to support safety, quality and compliance standards.
