Job summary

Walmart is hiring an experienced Licensed Facilities Maintenance Operations Manager to lead HVAC/R and general building maintenance across a regional portfolio. You will coach a team of technicians, drive preventative maintenance, and partner with store managers to ensure safe, reliable facility operations.

Candidates must hold an active HVAC/R Mechanical Contractor license, EPA Universal Certification, and 3–5 years in facilities/construction management. Travel ~50% within the region.

Qualifications

• Active HVAC/R Mechanical Contractor license in good standing in your state of residence.
• EPA Universal Certification is required.
• 3–5 years of experience in facilities management, construction management, mechanical maintenance, engineering or related field.
• Strong HVAC/mechanical knowledge.
• Leadership skills with ability to coach, motivate and develop others.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and customer-service skills.
• Experience with root-cause and equipment breakdown analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of facilities maintenance technicians.
• Oversee HVAC/R and general building maintenance across assigned locations.
• Partner with Store Managers and Facilities Services leaders to identify and resolve facility needs.
• Use reporting, analytics and root-cause analysis to improve equipment reliability and maintenance performance.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors when needed.
• Maintain required contractor licensing and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Secure required permits and coordinate inspections in accordance with codes.
• Conduct site inspections to support safety, quality and compliance standards.
