Job summary

The ASPCA is seeking a Regional Director of Facilities Operations to lead and optimize facilities across New York City, Pawling NY, Washington DC, and Florida. You will direct maintenance, safety, and operational excellence, ensuring the staff, volunteers, and animals have optimal environments.

Reporting to the VP, you will implement standard procedures, manage budgets, and drive improvements across multiple sites while traveling up to 15% of the time.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading managers and teams across multiple locations.
• Extensive knowledge of building systems including electrical, HVAC, and controls.
• Proficient in CMMS and work order platforms.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management experience.
• Experience with unionized teams and labor contracts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ASPCA’s facilities staff and facilities operations across multiple sites.
• Provide oversight of repairs and maintenance, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Develop and maintain Preventative Maintenance Programs (PMPs).
• Develop SOPs across sites and manage the work order system.
• Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead facilities projects including vendor selection, budgeting and timelines.
• Negotiate and manage vendor contracts; maintain professional relationships.
• Collaborate with Safety for safe environments for staff, volunteers, and animals.
• Travel between properties as needed.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
