Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling in the United States seeks an Area Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead capital projects, oversee preventive maintenance, and partner with regional leaders to keep facilities safe, compliant, and efficient.

You’ll manage budgets, coordinate vendors, and drive long‑term asset preservation across multiple locations, with experience in SAP, bid management, and cross‑functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities management, construction management, maintenance management, project management, or related field.
• Experience managing multiple projects across geographically dispersed locations.
• Knowledge and experience with SAP including project tracking, Purchase Orders, and Maintenance Order processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage facility capital improvement and maintenance projects across assigned regions; develop scopes and obtain vendor quotations.
• Collaborate with operations leadership to minimize business disruption during project execution and manage budgets.
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs, annual budgeting, and long-term facility planning; monitor expenditures and forecast needs.
• Coordinate maintenance vendors and contractors to support building systems and infrastructure; ensure safety and compliance.
• Supervise and guide 1–5 employees and coordinate with regional facilities teams.
