Job summary

Rumpke is seeking an Area Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee capital projects and facility operations across the assigned territory. You will plan, manage, and execute diverse improvements while coordinating with regional leaders to maintain safety, compliance and reliability.

Candidates should bring strong budgeting and vendor-management skills, plus experience with SAP and cross-functional collaboration to keep facilities running smoothly and cost-effectively across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities management, construction management, maintenance management, project management, or a related field.
• Experience managing multiple projects across geographically dispersed locations.
• Experience obtaining bids, negotiating vendor agreements, and managing capital projects.
• Knowledge and experience with SAP is a plus including project tracking, Purchase Orders, and Maintenance Order processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage facility capital improvement and maintenance projects across assigned regions.
• Develop project scopes, obtain competitive bids, evaluate proposals, and manage budgets.
• Coordinate with operations leadership to minimize business disruption during project execution.
• Oversee maintenance and capital projects from planning through closeout.
• Monitor vendor performance and ensure safety, quality, and cost controls.
