AmTrust Financial Services Inc. is seeking a Regional Executive Underwriter for the Chicagoland area.

You will underwrite and manage a Management Liability portfolio, lead new business development, renewals, and risk assessment, and negotiate contracts to drive profitability across D&O, EPL, Fiduciary, and Crime lines. You will price exposures, analyze claims, and stay compliant with regulatory requirements while collaborating with brokers and internal teams to deliver timely quotes and

Qualifications

• Approximately 10+ years underwriting and rating experience in management and professional liability.
• Strong knowledge of the D&O external market and business development in retail/wholesale channels.
• Ability to execute strategic priorities including pricing, agent and rate strategies, underwriting appetite, and mix of business.
• Advanced analytical skills to interpret information for risk decisions.
• Strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Suite.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a solid flow of new business opportunities and broker development.
• Underwrite renewals and identify cross-sell opportunities; implement 120-day profitability strategy.
• Develop risk pricing by analyzing exposures and using pricing tools.
• Consistently achieve budgeted financial results for portfolios.
• Identify corrective actions based on broker reviews and risk characteristics.
• Ensure compliance with underwriting strategies and regulatory requirements.
• Remain current on legal changes and claim developments for portfolio decisions.
• Provide timely and accurate quotes and endorsements.
• Assist in development and implementation of underwriting strategy for all product lines.
