Job summary

Texas Materials, a CRH company, is seeking an Area Equipment Manager to optimize fleet assets across Central Texas. You will lead Equipment Managers, drive cost reductions, and ensure high equipment availability while coordinating with leadership to align with business objectives.

You will develop a multi-year CapEx plan, strengthen supplier relationships, and standardize processes across the region. Travel up to 70% is expected to support operations and improve performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or technical degree required or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years equipment management experience.
• Experience with P&L responsibility and equipment management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead Equipment Managers in repair and maintenance decision-making through coaching and hands-on support.
• Drive cost reduction and operational efficiency while maintaining high equipment availability.
• Maintain communication with end users, stakeholders, and internal teams via various channels.
• Visit stakeholder locations regularly to identify opportunities and provide on-the-ground support.
• Communicate progress, challenges, and recommendations to leadership and teams.
• Develop and execute a five-year CapEx strategy incl. replacement planning and lifecycle extension.
• Partner with managers and dealers to establish supplier relationships and service agreements.
• Optimize asset lifecycle management to maximize total cost of ownership.
• Standardize best practices across the area to improve consistency and efficiency.
• Champion new software/process implementations and train frontline teams.
• Support a safety culture and represent the area on equipment teams.
