Republic Services in Berwyn, PA is seeking an Area Environmental Manager to oversee the landfill budgeting, capex spending, and compliance across the Area. You will lead Environmental Managers, Specialists, and Technicians and coordinate with Area leadership to meet goals.

This role requires deep knowledge of air, water, solid waste regulations, strong leadership, budgeting, and project management. You will interact with regulators, vendors, and internal teams to drive improvements and ensure

Qualifications

• 6 years of experience in waste or excavation/civil construction with management responsibilities.
• 2 years of management or supervisory experience.
• Thorough knowledge of environmental regulations relating to air, water, solid waste, and material recovery/recycling.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee landfill budgeting and capex planning for Area, including budgets for construction/cell development, closure/post-closure, engineering and operations.
• Lead and supervise Environmental Managers, Specialists, and Technicians.
• Coordinate monthly forecasting and capex summaries; manage the Engineering Budget Model schedule.
• Review permit applications and interface with regulators; support site expansions or changes to operating plans.
• Drive cross-functional teams to analyze operational, environmental and financial data and implement improvements.
