Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an Operations Manager – Landfill to lead the landfill operations, ensuring safety, environmental compliance, and optimal equipment maintenance. You will work with senior leaders to implement strategic plans, drive performance, and manage a skilled team to meet density goals and permit conditions.

The role requires directing large staff, maintaining safety programs, and coordinating with multiple departments to achieve budget and operational targets.

Responsibilities

Oversee landfill daily operations and supervise staff.
Develop operational plans with the General Manager.

Coordinate with Maintenance for equipment upkeep and new acquisitions.
Monitor testing and soil reports, sampling of monitoring wells.
Manage outside contractors and labor hours; control disposal costs.
