Republic Services, Inc. seeks an Environmental Manager to lead landfill engineering budgets, oversee consultants, and ensure regulatory compliance during operations.

You will manage site development costs, permit applications, and environmental reporting. The role requires strong project management, communication with regulators and internal teams, and the ability to coordinate multiple construction and compliance tasks across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geology, Biology or related science.
• Certified Professional Engineer and/or Certified Professional Geologist designation is preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Manage landfill project construction for cells and sites, including scheduling and coordinating third-party CQA and contractors.
• Maintain financial responsibility for construction/cell development, closure, engineering, and operations costs.
• Coordinate permit applications, regulatory interfaces, and project designs.
• Prepare responses to regulatory inspections and notifications.
• Assist site managers with fill sequencing and project planning.
• Review acquisitions and perform pro-forma modeling support.
• Communicate with regulators, consultants, and investors; produce status reports.
• Supervise Environmental Technicians and Specialists; hire, train, and evaluate staff.
