Job summary

Linde Inc. is seeking a Regional Environmental Specialist to support California and surrounding states from Wilmington, CA and Phoenix, AZ. You will implement and maintain environmental compliance programs, manage permits, and provide technical guidance across facilities.

You will monitor air, water, and waste performance, advise operations, prepare permit applications, and collaborate with SH&E teams. A degree in Environmental Science or related field and 5+ years of experience are required;

Qualifications

• Environmental Science degree or related field.
• 5+ years of direct environmental experience (air, water, waste).
• Regulatory knowledge including Title V/NSR, GHG permitting, and NSPS/MACT.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; P&ID knowledge.
• Willing to obtain security clearances if required.
• Willingness to travel about 40% including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Report to the LGUS Associate Director, Environmental for CA/around-state support.
• Implement and maintain environmental compliance programs and systems.
• Monitor performance and provide leadership on air, water and waste compliance.
• Collaborate with plant personnel and SH&E Field Specialists on issues.
• Develop and maintain permits and regulatory compliance (Title V, NSR, etc).
• Prepare permit applications, amendments and exemptions.
• Submit environmental reports (GHG, TSCA, NPDES, etc).
• Track compliance metrics and support corporate assessments.
• Review legislation for applicability to the business.
• Support project modifications and develop compliance systems.
• Interface with state/federal agencies on permits and inspections.
• Support Emission Cap and Trade programs and training.
