Job summary

AEP Texas Company, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Coordinator to coordinate environmental programs across the T&D regions, ensuring compliance with laws and company policies.

The role involves training staff, coordinating with Environmental Services, and supporting spill response. Responsibilities include performing site inspections, coordinating with contractors, and communicating with regulators and the public.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in the physical sciences (biology, chemistry, geology, physical science, etc.)
• Minimum of 2 years of environmental experience
• Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain all environmental activities in the T&D regions to ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations and Company policies and procedures.
• Assist Environmental Services on the development of Company environmental policies and procedures.
• Provide training, instruction and assistance to employees on the implementation of environmental program requirements.
• Assist in oil or chemical spill response including agency notifications and cleanup oversight.
• Conduct environmental reviews of regional disposal contractors and related facilities, assisting the lead auditor(s).
• Respond to public inquiries regarding environmental matters.
