Job summary

Vermont Emergency Management (VEM) seeks a Regional Coordinator to coordinate, plan, train, exercise, and research emergency operations across Caledonia, Essex, and Orleans counties. This full-time, home-based role requires travel within the region and a valid driver's license.

You will work with Public Safety and emergency management personnel, state and local officials, and federal partners to implement readiness initiatives and support disaster response efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in emergency management, homeland security, or related field AND three (3) years or more of experience in emergency preparedness or response, which includes experience with delivering trainings to adults.

Responsibilities

• Coordination and interaction with Public Safety and Emergency Management personnel and officials.
• Travel within the region and occasional after-hours work may be required.
• Duties include coordinating, planning, training, exercising, and researching work involving emergency operations and management.
