Job summary

State of Vermont is seeking a VEM Regional Coordinator to coordinate emergency management activities across Caledonia, Essex, and Orleans counties. The role is home-based in Vermont with extensive regional travel and requires a valid driver's license.

The position demands collaboration with Public Safety and government partners; a bachelor's in a relevant field or substantial equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in emergency management, homeland security, or related field AND three (3) years or more of experience in emergency preparedness or response, which includes experience with delivering trainings to adults.
• OR
• Five (5) years or more of experience in emergency preparedness or response, which includes experience with delivering trainings to adults.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support emergency management operations, training, exercising, and research for regional initiatives.
• Engage with Public Safety, EMS, and local/state/federal partners across Caledonia, Essex, & Orleans counties; travel as needed.
• Work from home in VT, within one hour of the served region, with extensive travel within the region.
