Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 5+ years of combined experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, self-starter and team player with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to deploy and work away from home for up to a week when needed.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies or disasters and provide guidance to local jurisdictions.
• Coordinate state response and recovery activities with agencies and organizations.
• Monitor Local Emergency Management Performance Grant requirements and reporting.
• Oversee grants, financial tracking, review and verification of tasks and activities.
• Complete special projects and support field operations across South Dakota.
