Job summary

Merit Restorations is seeking an Emergency Response Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact for clients in emergencies, working in the field across Northern Virginia and West Virginia. This role requires on-site visits, fast decision-making, and a strong focus on safety, empathy, and results.

You will secure emergency service agreements, coordinate with adjusters, and hand off to project teams to begin restoration, while maintaining 24/7 readiness and a commitment to advocacy for

Qualifications

• Prior experience in restoration, construction, insurance, or outside sales.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to document and relay information to adjusters and clients.
• Willingness to learn the restoration industry quickly.

Responsibilities

• Respond to fire, water, mold, and storm losses on site.
• Assess damage and present emergency mitigation and restoration services.
• Lead property owners through next steps with empathy and clarity.
• Secure signed work authorizations and contracts in high-pressure situations.
• Educate customers on the insurance process and Merit's role.
