Job summary

Mercy is seeking a proactive Eligibility Supervisor to lead the Regional Mercy Eligibility Program Department. You will drive collaboration, set goals, and help implement policies with Mercy and partner agencies. You will ensure compliant, efficient eligibility processing and patient screening across the region.

The role emphasizes leadership, strong communication, and strategic oversight, with a focus on maintaining service levels and Mercy standards in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess analytical, oral and written communication and problem solving skills.
• Past experiences must have demonstrated leadership ability, good interpersonal skills and the ability to apply sound principles of management and supervision.
• Experience with Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Must be able to maintain positive relationships with other departments and resolve department and intradepartmental problems while maintaining expenses within budgetary constraints.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Regional Mercy Eligibility Program Department operations and ensure regional team functions cohesively.
• Assist in establishing, monitoring, and achieving goals and in policy and procedure development.
• Interact with patients, Mercy departments, and third-party representatives; ensure compliance with SSA, Medicaid offices, and program protocols.
• Lead eligibility approval, patient screening, and service goals for the region.
• Maintain Mercy standards and service quality in line with Mercy mission and values.
