CDM Smith is seeking an experienced Estimator/Manager to lead estimating functions across regions, manage budgets, and coordinate with project teams. This role requires strong supervisory experience and knowledge of cost control, with frequent travel likely to support multi-site bids.

The position emphasizes collaboration with design leads and procurement to ensure accurate, constructible estimates and robust proposal packages.

Qualifications

• 10 years of related experience with at least 3 of those years in a supervisory or management capacity.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Manage estimating functions including budgets, staffing, and work assignments.
• Implement estimating policies to meet corporate objectives.
• Support procurement by negotiating purchase orders, subcontracts, and change orders.
• Oversee cost studies and materials/methods; update the estimating database.
• Review project details with region leadership to determine strategies and resources.
• Coordinate with design leads for cost effectiveness and constructability.
• Ensure standardized estimating systems and maintain the cost database.
• Maintain historical data for estimating man-hours across projects.
• Review final estimates and proposal packages for accuracy.
• Contact subcontractors and suppliers for outsource pricing.
