Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced estimator to manage estimating functions within a designated region, coordinating with project managers on procurement and change orders. You will oversee cost studies, data maintenance, and bid preparation to support competitive proposals.

The role requires a strong background in multi-trade estimating, solid reading of drawings and specifications, and the ability to work across teams to ensure constructability and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications

• 10 years of related experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Manage estimating functions in assigned region, area or group, including budgets, staffing and work assignments.
• Implement established estimating policies to meet corporate objectives.
• Assist project managers in negotiating purchase orders, subcontracts, and change orders.
• Supervise preparation of market cost studies and materials/methods.
