Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; 10 years related experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory/management capacity.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional related experience considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Manages and administers the estimating functions in assigned region, area or group to include operating budgets, staffing assignments, and work assignments.
• Implements established estimating policies in assigned region, area or group to meet corporate objectives.
• Works with project managers to provide administrative and technical assistance in negotiating purchase orders, subcontracts, and change orders during procurement.
• Supervises the preparation of market cost studies, materials and methods, and recommends changes to the database.
• Assists region leadership by reviewing project details and providing recommendations and strategies.
• Provides coordination with design discipline leads for cost effectiveness and constructability for proposals.
• Ensures standardized use of approved estimating systems and maintenance of the cost database.
• Maintains historical data for estimating man-hours for various types of estimates and bid results.
• Reviews final estimate and proposal packages for accuracy and completeness for formal quotation and presentation.
• Contacts subcontractors and suppliers for outsource pricing.
• Performs additional duties as required.
