Job summary

FirstEnergy Corp seeks a Line Supervisor at the Meadville Service Center to oversee construction, maintenance, and operation of electric transmission and distribution systems. You will supervise crews, enforce safety, and coordinate with other departments.

The role requires 5–7 years in the electrical field, strong leadership, and the ability to interpret complex prints and specifications. You’ll mentor staff, manage outages and emergency response, ensuring adherence to safety and construction

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 5-7 years' related electrical field experience
• Experience in hazard response and knowledge of construction/maintenance practices
• Advanced knowledge of principles and operation of electric transmission and distribution systems
• Some supervisory experience preferred
• Able to read, alter, and communicate complex prints and specifications
• Able to coach, mentor, engage and inspire people to excel in their roles
• Demonstrated knowledge of applied electricity including AC and DC circuits and equipment

Responsibilities

• Directing and supervising employees in electric transmission and distribution line work
• Directing line workers in installation of energized lines and load transfers
• Responding to emergencies to support public safety and system reliability
• Coordinating construction, maintenance, repair, or test work with other departments
• Enforcing safety standards and company practices
• Coaching and mentoring staff to achieve performance standards
