Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Multi-Media Environmental Health & Safety Permitting & Compliance Project Manager to lead permitting and compliance projects for industrial clients in the Northeast, with flexible location across New York and New England. The role emphasizes technical leadership, auditing, EMS development, and strong client service.

The candidate should have 10+ years of related experience, a BS in a related field, and professional registrations such as PE/CSP/CHMM are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting or leading environmental compliance, permitting, and related projects.
• Strong understanding of EPA/state rules (CAA, CWA, EPCRA, RCRA, CERCLA).
• Field experience with industrial EHS compliance and audits.
• Travel up to 20% for assessments and client meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental compliance, permitting, and related projects for industrial clients in the Northeast.
• Serve as a technical resource on regulatory analyses and reporting.
• Develop and execute permitting and compliance strategies.
• Provide QA/QC of project deliverables and manage client relationships.
• Develop EMS-related documentation and continuous improvement programs.
• Collaborate with other project managers on strategic pursuits.
