Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Multi-Media Environmental Health & Safety Permitting & Compliance Project Manager to lead environmental permitting and compliance for industrial clients in the Northeast. Location flexibility spans New York and the New England region, with responsibilities from due diligence to decommissioning and regulatory reporting.

The role requires a BS in Engineering or Environmental Science, 10+ years of related experience, and a strong track record in EPA/state regulations, EMS,

Qualifications

• Direct experience supporting or leading environmental compliance, including air quality, due diligence, auditing, EMS/ISO.
• Strong understanding of EPA and state rules (CAA, CWA, EPCRA/SARA Title 3, RCRA, CERCLA, DOT).
• Willingness to travel up to 20% for assessments and client meetings.
• Ability to analyze technical data, perform research, and solve problems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present solutions clearly.
• Experience in preparing and maintaining regulatory reports and EMS documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead environmental compliance, permitting, and related projects for industrial clients in the Northeast.
• Serve as a technical resource on environmental compliance and permitting.
• Conduct regulatory analyses of facility operations and reporting.
• Lead development and execution of Environmental Management Systems and permitting strategies.
• Support client meetings, proposals, and relationship management.
• Ensure QA/QC of project deliverables and adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
