Job summary

Meta seeks an experienced EHS Manager to lead environmental, health and safety programs across Washington facilities. You will ensure regulatory compliance, readiness, and continuous EHS improvement while managing contractor and vendor EHS professionals and collaborating with lab/process managers, safety engineers, and leaders to foster a culture of safety.

Minimum qualifications include 10+ years in EHS with 5+ in leadership, WA regulatory experience, and a Bachelor's in a related field.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in EHS.
• 5+ years in a leadership or management role.
• Experience with regulatory requirements in Washington.
• Travel up to 75% regionally (Redmond, Seattle, Bellevue).
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee site assessments, job and task risk assessments, and lead incident investigations.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts in lasers, hazardous chemicals, industrial hygiene, robotics, and occupational safety.
• Partner with Safety Engineering for handover of new equipment/facilities.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local EHS laws, regulations and permits.
• Develop emergency response plans and act as emergency response coordinator when needed.
• Drive continuous improvement from incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintain legal registers, risk registers, and environmental impact assessments; ensure controls are effective.
• Provide metrics and reporting to support leadership decisions.
• Lead risk management including hazard identification, risk assessments and corrective actions.
• Champion continuous improvement through audits, inspections, data analysis, and safety/environmental solutions.
• Drive employee engagement and EHS initiatives through training and leadership.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
