Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a hands-on Regional EHS Manager to lead safety programs across multiple Michigan facilities. You will drive a proactive safety culture by coaching on the floor, standardizing EHS systems, and partnering with plant leaders to reduce risk and injuries.

The role requires 7–10 years in EHS leadership within manufacturing, ISO 14001/45001 experience, OSHA knowledge, and 40–60% travel. Join a company committed to safety and ownership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety or related field preferred.
• 7–10 years EHS leadership in manufacturing.
• Experience leading multiple facilities or multi-site operations.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and incident investigations.
• Experience supporting capital projects and MOC processes.
• OSHA 30 required; CSP/ASP/CIH/CHMM or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the EHS strategy and performance for multiple facilities.
• Develop regional EHS plans aligned with corporate objectives and priorities.
• Coach on the manufacturing floor and engage leaders in risk reduction activities.
• Standardize EHS programs, procedures, audits, and reporting across facilities.
• Drive ISO 14001/45001 implementation and continuous improvement.
• Lead investigations of injuries and incidents using root cause analysis.
• Mentor Site EHS Specialists and safety committees.
• Monitor metrics and report performance trends to executives.
