Job summary

PPC Flex in Kansas City, KS is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Manager to lead EHS oversight across two facilities. You will develop programs, drive compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and mentor site teams on safe work practices.

The role reports to the Director of Environmental, Health, and Safety with a dotted line to plant managers, and requires hands-on implementation as well as administrative leadership to integrate EHS into daily operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EHS management or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience leading Environmental, Health and Safety within a manufacturing facility.
• Experience with VelocityEHS or similar EHS management system.
• Certifications such as CHMM, REM, CSP, CIH or similar preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement programs that ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety requirements.
• Serve as an EHS leader and mentor site teams to promote safe work activities.
• Maintain and promote EHS policies and procedures.
• Develop and implement an EHS training plan to meet state and federal requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into operations.
• Communicate EHS policies and procedures to all employees.
• Be the Subject Matter Expert for the site on environmental, safety and health requirements and best practices.
• Maintain all required safety, accident, and environmental records and documentation.
• Oversee management system and drive performance improvements via EHS scorecards.
