Job summary

QTS Realty Trust is seeking a Regional Manager, Economic Development to lead state and regional site selection and deal execution across Texas and the Southwest.

You will coordinate economic development plans, engage with government and communities, and structure incentives to accelerate market entry and value creation for QTS customers.

This role requires 8–10 years of experience, a bachelor's degree (CEcD a plus), and willingness to travel >25%.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10 years in economic development, public policy, or government relations.
• Proven track record negotiating development programs and community agreements.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with government, industry groups, and communities.

Responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day coordination of economic development plans and agreements for Texas and the Southwest.
• Manage due diligence and stakeholder engagement for 10–15 sites concurrently.
• Identify and structure market‑specific economic development packages and incentives.
• Advise deal teams on economic development aspects and social return on investment.
