Job summary

QTS Realty Trust, a global data center leader, seeks a Vice President for Regional External Affairs to build and drive an ambitious regional program. You will lead advocacy, policy engagement, and stakeholder relations to advance growth, development and reputation across the region.

You will manage a 10–12 person team, collaborate with cross-functional leaders, and travel extensively to engage policymakers, industry partners, and communities in support of QTS's strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of leadership in government affairs, public policy, or external affairs.
• Experience leading multi-state regional teams and budgets.
• Strong understanding of legislative, regulatory, permitting, and community engagement processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive regional external affairs strategy aligned with growth, development, and public policy objectives.
• Lead advocacy campaigns at state and local levels to support expansion and priorities.
• Direct and develop a high-performing regional team with clear priorities and accountability.
• Represent QTS externally as a senior leader and trusted advocate with officials and stakeholders.
