American Electric Power (AEP) is seeking an experienced Economic Development professional to provide direction and support across a defined region in the service territory. You will manage relationships with target companies and coordinate with Marketing, Community Affairs, and Economic Development teams.

The role emphasizes strategic analysis, stakeholder collaboration, and project management for site development.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in economics, Engineering, Finance, Business Administration or related field with minimum 5 years in economic/business development.
• Alternative: Associate's degree with minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
• Alternative: High school diploma with 8 years of economic/business development experience.
• Master's degree and professional certification are preferred.
• Demonstrated strategic and analytical skills with strong collaboration capabilities.

Responsabilidades

• Proactively identifies and manages relationships with target sector companies.
• Generate business leads and pursue revenue-generating investments in the AEP service territory.
• Serve as a resource to Marketing, Community Affairs or Economic Development teams.
• Manage and implement proposals for site development and asset utilization.
• Demonstrate ethical behavior and comply with Company policies.
