Job summary

General Motors is seeking a DRP Field Implementation Manager for field-based work across the Southeast and Northeast regions. This role oversees dealer DRP implementations, leading dealer groups and acting as the SME for GM's Digital Retail Platform.

Expect high-touch support, regional coordination, and travel as needed. The position requires deep knowledge of dealership operations, DMS/CRM, and digital retailing, with a focus on delivering a smooth rollout and timely milestones.

Qualifications

• Background in dealership consulting or automotive retail operations.
• Strong understanding of the retail automotive industry, including terminology, dealership structures and workflows.
• Experience with dealership software platforms (DMS, CRM, digital retailing).
• Knowledge of dealership desking or F&I processes.
• Quick learner with ability to stay current on evolving digital solutions.
• Positive, solutions-oriented attitude in high-pressure environments.
• Strong collaboration with GM teams, clients and vendors.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; capable presenter and facilitator.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% weekly.

Responsibilities

• Serve as regional lead for dealership group implementations with high-touch, concierge-style support.
• Manage the implementation pipeline from pre-onboarding to go-live and remove blockers.
• Be the SME on GM’s DRP and automotive digital retailing best practices to drive engagement.
• Maintain dealer engagement to ensure momentum and timely completion of milestones.
• Act as a relationship manager for dealers during implementation and address concerns.
• Identify DRP risks and work to mitigate them effectively.
• Document, communicate and elevate issues as needed.
• Partner with field resources and focus on non-technical, relationship aspects while partners handle technical work.
• Deliver clear presentations and product demonstrations using established materials.
• Ensure each dealership group has a positive implementation experience and a successful launch.
• Prioritize high-impact DRP activities and maintain alignment with DRP goals.
• Travel and manage program expenses per GM guidelines.
