As Regional Distribution Sales Manager at Ruhrpumpen, you will be responsible for growing distribution and OEM sales in the West Coast. Your goal is to increase market share by managing the current network and adding additional channel partners where needed to meet sales objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Grow the indirect sales channel/distribution segment along with OEM accounts.
  2. Evaluate the current channel’s effectiveness through joint sales calls (in person or virtual) and other contact methods to sell and market Ruhrpumpen products.
  3. Identify, interview, and propose new distributors as needed to achieve sales goals.
  4. Support and document growth within the company's parameters for each distributor, manage, provide support/corrective measures, and professionally terminate ineffective channel partners if necessary.
  5. Maintain proper records and utilize the CRM system effectively.
  6. Assist distributors in increasing their competency in Ruhrpumpen products, processes, policies, and procedures.
  7. Help distributor personnel become self-sufficient using electronic programs and materials for product selection, presentation, and quotation.
  8. Provide feedback to the North American Distributor Sales Manager on distributor performance, expenses, competitive information, and product development needs.
  9. Maintain communication with distributors regarding goals, performance, promotional activities, inventories, obsolescence, and new products.
  10. Ensure sales objectives are met considering market conditions and competition.
  11. Collaborate with Market Managers to develop distribution channels and increase penetration.
  12. Organize and conduct scheduled sales training and assist distributor personnel with sales and application issues.
  13. Complete and follow up on the Target Account Form program for each distributor salesperson.
  14. Assist distributor sales personnel with customer calls to penetrate accounts and grow territory sales.
  15. Prepare and present sales reports and attend meetings and training seminars.
Qualifications:
  1. Willingness and ability to travel 60-70% within the region, including overnight stays.
  2. Strong understanding of the Distribution Sales Channel and ability to support company growth.
  3. Respond promptly and considerately to distributor and customer requests and issues.
  4. Maintain positive relationships internally and externally, even under challenging circumstances.
  5. At least 3 years of experience in pumps and related products.
