Job summary

Target is seeking an Engineering & Facilities Maintenance Technician 2 (MT2) to support the maintenance and repair of automated material handling equipment in our supply chain facility. The role involves preventive and predictive maintenance, rapid troubleshooting, and collaboration with technicians and engineers to ensure high equipment availability.

You will work on conveyors, robotics, AS/RS, and related systems, performingRoot Cause Analysis with teams and mentoring junior staff as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver''s license and ability to use handheld devices.
• Familiar with wiring diagrams, symbols and electrical measuring.
• 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent in mechanical or electrical field.
• Experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.
• Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards.
• Experience with robotic operation/maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic I/O functions and PLC programs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot all electrical and mechanical aspects of MHE on site.
• Adjust scanners, cameras, field buses, scales and printer applicators.
• Reset, repair, or replace belts, chains, cables and wear components.
• Clean, lubricate, and calibrate equipment.
• Use job plans, procedures, and manuals.
• Maintain motors, relays, sensors, encoders, etc.
• Assist with basic electronics/ PLC troubleshooting.
• Operate Target-owned vehicles for maintenance activities.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE.
