Job summary
American Red Cross seeks a Regional Disaster Officer for the Central & South Texas Region. The role leads disaster services strategy, readiness, and delivery across the region, directing directors, employees, and volunteers.
You will partner with the Regional CEO to assess risks, set priorities, and execute plans that strengthen preparedness, response, and community resilience. The RDO will guide program management, measurement, and performance, ensuring alignment with standards and funding
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience.
- Minimum of seven years of management experience.
- Experience leading disaster services or emergency management.
- Experience building partnerships with government, nonprofits, and volunteers.
Responsibilities
- Provide executive leadership for regional disaster services strategy and execution.
- Oversee program delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement across the region.
- Lead cross‑functional teams and volunteer workforce to achieve regional goals.
- Develop and maintain external partnerships with emergency management officials and partners.
- Communicate strategic priorities and performance to senior leadership.
