Job summary

The American Red Cross in Central & South Texas is seeking a Regional Disaster Officer to lead disaster services strategy, readiness, and response across the region. You will work with the Regional CEO and Leadership Team to guide programs, partnerships, and volunteer engagement.

You will oversee program delivery, manage a diverse team of directors, employees, and volunteers, and build strong relationships with government partners, NGOs, and community leaders to strengthen preparedness and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; combination with experience may suffice.
• Minimum of 10 years of related experience in disaster services or emergency management.
• Minimum of 7 years of management experience; leading through directors/senior managers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the region’s senior leader and strategic partner to the Regional CEO.
• Lead development and execution of regional disaster services strategy with measurable goals.
• Provide executive oversight for disaster programs and ensure alignment with organizational standards.
• Oversee disaster response readiness and leadership across the region.
• Develop, coach, and empower a high‑performing regional disaster services team.
