Job summary

The City of New York's Homelessness Prevention and Community Support (PCS) is recruiting for an Administrative Director of Social Services NM I to serve as a Regional Deputy Director. This role oversees homelessness prevention services, Homebase programs, and government rental subsidies to keep families stably housed.

You will supervise staff, coordinate with providers, and contribute to policy updates while ensuring contractual targets and program quality across multiple community partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with four years of progressively responsible experience, including at least one year in administrative or managerial level within a large governmental agency, business, civic or community organization.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and coordinate support for case-specific requests for homelessness prevention services via HRA systems, emails and leadership requests.
• Provide consultation to Homebase and other community programs to ensure quality case management and contractual targets are met.
• Provide technical assistance to Homebase and other community programs as determined; coordinate activities in oversight areas.
• Participate in development of data tracking systems and support or facilitate special projects.
• Conduct on-site and in-office case reviews; participate in audits; conduct announced and unannounced site visits.
• Support application processing, review, approval and tracking of rental assistance programs for families and individuals.
• Assist with staff training and professional development for PCS/HRA staff; conduct presentations and meetings representing PCS.
• Recommend and support policy/procedure updates aligned with agency/funding directives.

Education

Baccalaureate degree + 4 years experience
