Job summary

Sight Sciences seeks a Director, Payer Relations – Regional to lead regional payer engagement for TearCare. Drive regional plans, engage payers, and coordinate cross-functional teams to overcome access barriers and establish evidence-based coverage policies.

The role requires building relationships with Medicare/ commercial payers, translating national priorities into regional actions, and delivering executive-ready updates on engagement progress and policy status.

Qualifications

• Executive presence and credibility with payer decisionmakers.
• Strong communication and relationship-management skills.
• Ability to translate clinical and economic evidence into payer materials.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects with Sales, Medical Affairs, Clinical, Regulatory, Legal, Compliance, Government Affairs, and Marketing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a regional payer-relations strategy aligned with Market Access, commercial, clinical, medical, legal and compliance priorities.
• Prioritize regional payer organizations based on patient impact, policy opportunity, access barriers, provider needs, and business priorities; maintain account-specific engagement plans.
• Build and maintain relationships with payer medical directors and reimbursement teams.
• Lead compliant payer meetings focused on clinical evidence, patient population, coding, coverage, payment, and health-economic considerations.
• Monitor existing and emerging payer coverage policies, medical policies, coding edits, and reimbursement practices.
• Develop and coordinate payer coverage submissions, reconsideration requests, and evidence dossiers.
