Job summary

Sight Sciences, Inc. is seeking a Director, Payer Relations – Regional in the United States to translate national Market Access priorities into regional plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health policy, healthcare administration, business, life sciences, health economics, public health, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in payer relations, market access, reimbursement, health policy, or related healthcare field with leadership of payer-facing initiatives.
• Experience engaging public and commercial payer stakeholders (medical directors, policy teams, reimbursement leaders, or technology-assessment functions).
• Strong working knowledge of Medicare and commercial payer policy infrastructure, medical policy development, coding, coverage, payment methodologies, claims processes, and provider reimbursement.
• Experience in medical devices, ophthalmology, or coverage-policy-intensive healthcare categories preferred.
• Experience translating clinical and economic evidence into payer-relevant materials and strategic recommendations.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects with Sales, Medical Affairs, Clinical, Regulatory, Legal, Compliance, Government Affairs, and Marketing partners.
• Executive presence and credibility with payer medical, policy, and reimbursement decisionmakers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a regional payer-relations strategy aligned with Market Access and other priorities.
• Prioritize regional payer organizations and maintain account-specific engagement and coverage plans.
• Build relationships with payer medical directors, policy leaders, reimbursement teams, and other economic decisionmakers.
• Lead compliant payer meetings focused on TearCare clinical evidence, coding, coverage, and payment.
• Monitor payer coverage policies, medical policies, coding edits, and prior-authorization requirements.
• Prepare coverage submissions, evidence dossiers, policy comment letters, and follow-up responses.
• Represent Sight Sciences at payer meetings, medical society discussions, and external engagements.
• Maintain documentation of payer interactions, milestones, and commitments in approved systems.
