The Regional Director of Sales and Marketing (RDSM) is responsible for developing, executing, and leading the sales and marketing strategy for a specific region or community. The primary goals are immediate census growth and revenue increase.
The role requires frequent travel, typically from Monday to Thursday, with occasional five-day travel weeks.
Essential Functions:
- Schedule, organize, and conduct tours with prospective residents across independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing.
- Observe and coach the sales team, respond promptly to all inquiries via walk-ins, phone calls, and mail-ins.
- Plan and execute events with the team to attract prospective residents and professionals, including seminars, speakers, and themed events.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and care providers.
- Maintain proficiency in all relevant software programs.
- Assist in training managers for weekend backup coverage and MOD rotation.
- Coach teams on managing move-ins and move-outs to maximize revenue.
- Ensure each inquiry is treated with value and importance.
- Collaborate with community sales directors and the VP of Sales and Marketing to develop and implement quarterly marketing plans.
- Develop community outreach programs with sales directors.
- Plan media and marketing strategies in consultation with the VP of Marketing.
- Meet occupancy and budget goals.
- Participate in hiring, training, disciplining, and terminating departmental staff in accordance with company policies.
- Keep the Executive Director informed of daily sales activities.
- Maintain the Hot Board and Move-In/Move-Out boards.
- Communicate any special needs of incoming residents to relevant personnel.
- Manage the use of sales tools at assigned communities.
- Investigate all leads thoroughly before closing.
- Stay informed of industry trends and techniques that impact product offerings.
- Understand senior needs and the aging process.
- Update competitive analyses biannually and adjust marketing plans as market conditions change.

Qualifications / Skills / Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent experience (1-2 years of experience and/or training).
- Previous sales management experience in senior living, with existing communities and development projects. Strong communication skills.
