Position Purpose

The Regional Director leads a team of 4-6 MSLs (50-80 stores) to drive sales, profit, and market share growth through innovation and operational excellence, under the guidance of the Regional Vice President (RVP). This role involves strategic leadership, talent development, fostering a culture of inclusion, and embodying Sleep Number values, including diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Location

This is a remote position overseeing stores in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Kentucky. Local candidates or those willing to relocate are preferred.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Drive revenue and profit, achieve KPIs, and reinforce results.
  2. Develop plans for Multi-Store Leaders and high-potential Store Managers.
  3. Promote a customer-first culture and continuous evolution with a growth mindset.
  4. Optimize sales and profit through execution, skill development, and marketing.
  5. Coordinate with internal partners to enhance sales execution and align with company goals.
  6. Motivate teams to exceed sales goals, removing barriers.
  7. Build talent pipelines through strategic hiring and development.
  8. Model company values and commitments to diversity and inclusion.
Position Requirements
  1. At least 3+ years of multi-unit leadership in a sales-oriented business.
  2. High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s preferred.
  3. Proven ability to inspire and build high-performing teams.
  4. Strong planning, motivation, and communication skills.
  5. Experience with data, analytics, and financial statements.
  6. Ability to influence and build partnerships across levels.
  7. Change leadership and conflict management skills.
Working Conditions
  • 65-75% travel within the territory, quarterly regional or corporate travel, and potential relocation.
