MGM Healthcare provides rehabilitation, skilled nursing, long-term care, assisted living, and independent living centers in Iowa, Missouri, and Oklahoma. Our centers offer on-site therapy and rehabilitation services using the latest equipment and techniques, including physical and occupational therapy, memory units, and respite care. Our corporate office is in St. Louis, Missouri. We are seeking a leader with craft skills and building maintenance experience to join as Regional Director of Maintenance to oversee, direct, and complete facility and maintenance projects.

Job Summary:
  • Responsible for organization and direct plant operations for 10+ centers in Missouri and Iowa.
  • Provides leadership in developing performance standards for all maintenance and environmental services personnel, including contracted personnel if applicable.
  • Assist facility maintenance supervisors with daily operations and maintenance.
Responsibilities:
  • Organize and direct facility maintenance supervisors using discretion and independent judgment.
  • Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities based on priorities, equipment, and personnel skills.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with staff, administrators, maintenance directors, employees, patients, families, and visitors.
  • Develop performance standards, evaluate, and counsel maintenance staff professionally and timely.
  • Fill in at centers without maintenance staff to ensure compliance and work order completion.
  • Monitor and control resource utilization and expenditures within the operating budget.
  • Secure service contracts efficiently and cost-effectively for plant operations and environmental services.
  • Report activity to the Director of Purchasing regularly.
  • Coordinate department functions to meet objectives and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure routine and non-routine inspections, and that structures and equipment meet codes.
  • Oversee scheduling, repairs, and maintenance of equipment, structures, and vehicles.
  • Maintain logs and records, including preventive maintenance (TELS).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • TELS experience.
  • Experience overseeing maintenance and renovation projects in residential care settings.
  • Skills in framing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, equipment installation and repair, painting.
  • Attention to detail and quality work.
  • Ability to manage demanding project schedules.
