Job summary

Packaging Exchange, Inc. is seeking a Director of Operations - West to oversee all regional branches, aligning operational performance with company strategy. You will lead Regional Operations Managers and site leaders to drive safety, service, and cost improvements across the West region.

The role requires a hands-on leader capable of coaching managers, managing budgets, and coordinating cross-functional teams to meet regional and national goals. Travel within the territory is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Operations (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years of progressive leadership in warehouse distribution or logistics, with multi-site experience.
• Ability to travel throughout assigned territory as needed.
• Strong communication, leadership, and change-management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic direction for all regional managers and branches within the assigned territory.
• Partner with EVP of Operations to execute national strategies while adapting to regional needs.
• Ensure operational consistency, regulatory compliance, and safety across all branches.
• Oversee regional performance metrics, budgets, and long-term goals for operational improvement.
• Lead initiatives to improve efficiency, inventory management, and logistics capabilities.
• Collaborate with Finance, HR, IT, Sales, Procurement to support goals.
• Develop and mentor Regional Managers, building leadership pipelines.
