Job summary

Dungarvin inc is seeking an Area Director to lead IDD residential services across the Lafayette region, overseeing operations, compliance, and growth. You will guide Area Managers, collaborate with families and partners, and ensure person-centered support for individuals served.

The role emphasizes leadership, budget oversight, and strategic development to strengthen programs, ensuring high-quality services and regional expansion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field required.
• 5+ years of experience within residential IDD/DD services, group homes, or community-based programs.
• 2+ years of leadership overseeing multiple programs, sites, or leadership teams.
• Knowledge of Medicaid/CIH/HCBS Waiver requirements and CARF/ID OH standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and adapting to new technology platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead Area Managers and Program Directors to ensure high-quality, person-centered services across multiple residential programs.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with families, community partners, and stakeholders while representing Dungarvin in the community.
• Oversee compliance with state regulations, licensing, Medicaid HCBS Waiver standards, and survey readiness across programs.
• Monitor budgets, staffing trends, program expenses, and overall financial health; drive performance.
• Support recruitment, staff development, retention, and leadership growth across the region.
